Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson was an American actress best recognized for her role as Buffy Summers, in the popular film Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Other notable roles are Rebecca Becky Granger from the telefilm Nightingales in addition to the very short-lived NBC show with the same title. Erica Paget played Early Edition in CBS and Marlowe Viccellio starred in Psych. Born in California, Swanson discovered her love for acting when a young child. She started her career as an actress in commercials. In 1984, she made her debut on the screen with an episode of the sitcom by NBC, It's Your Move. Two years later when she appeared on the romantic comedic Pretty in Pink of 1986, she made her big-screen debut. Swan, who is renowned for her breath-taking voice and smooth blonde hairlisp has been playing parts in a variety of roles over the last few years. Swan won the Young Artist Award in 1990 for the best young actress in a horror or mystery film for Flowers in the Attic.
